At Ground Hog, we are leading the industry to a standard auger drive with our 7/8" square drive that we have been using for over 30 years. High quality, heavy gauge, welded steel construction provides for an auger that is durable and therefore, profitable. Our augers are designed to be used on all Ground Hog Earth Drills, and are available in sizes ranging from 2" up to 12" in diameter.
Standard (SD) Series augers features hardfaced, screw-in fishtail pilots, and bolt-on blades. Combo (CSD) and Pengo® (PSD) Series augers features heat treated cast alloy steel boring heads. The Combo uses the same hardfaced screw-in fishtail pilot as the Standard auger, and heat treated forged alloy steel digging teeth. The Pengo® Series auger uses the same forged steel teeth as the Combo Series as well as a bolt-in, heat treated, alloy steel pilot bit.
A variety a carbide tipped blades are available for Pengo® and Combo Series, as well as full carbide and carbide tipped pilots for Pengo® augers. All augers are approximately 38" in length, and we offer extension shafts in 1, 2, 3 and 4 foot lengths.
